First and foremost, I would like to say.......2 MORE WEEKS!!!!
Election Day for those of you that haven't heard....how on earth could you not of heard.
This past weekend was very low key. I don't know the last time I have strictly stayed home and worked on projects around the house versus going out and having a little adult fun.
Friday night we did go see RENT the musical at SIU. I really didn't know what it was about to be honest. I asked around and the responses I got were basically it was about homosexuals and HIV. I thought it would be hard for me to get into but it was fantastic. I have never attended a rock musical before but I will say, I would love to see more now. As far as what it was about, it was about HIV and homosexuals but you really don't notice. I can't wait for another one!
SATURDAY
Matt smoked his first Boston Butt. It apparently takes over 24 hours to do so and so we couldn't leave the house and risk something happening to his poor little butt...hehehe.

It did turn out absolutely delicious!
In the meantime I finally put up the beadboard wallpaper I have been hoarding in my closet for months. I kept asking if he would put up the real deal but he just doesn't have time and so I saw the wallpaper and thought I would give it a whirl.
However, in true Jessica fashion, I was nervous. I am not afraid of doing things myself but I just don't like to do something and not like it.
I ran across a blog last week that actually did the same exact thing and gave me the confidence that it would look great. So I have to give credit to Tonya at Love of Family and Home for giving me the push I needed to get it put up. She has no clue that she did this but she did. Her blog is full of such easy DIY projects and tutorials. Not to mention they are absolutely stunning when completed. She also links to other fantastic home decorating blogs. I wish I had an ounce of their talent.
My project is 90% complete. I have to get chairrail put up but as I don't have tools, I will have to wait for Matt to find time. Did I ever mention I am very impatient????
I am posting some pictures but they are from my phone and they just don't ever look very clear to me. Please remember, the chairrail will cover up my jagged edges.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoy this beautiful weather we have been given this fall.

Your bathroom looks great!! Thank you so much for mentioning me in your post! You are too sweet!!
We are in the process of trying to figure out the flooring situation at the moment! Once that is done, my chairrail will go up & baseboards will go back in place! I can't wait til is done!! I'm not the most patient person either! :)
